Under the visionary guidance of the Production Manager, the Costume/Makeup Studio Coordinator plays a pivotal role in bringing characters to life through costume and makeup. This is more than a technical position—it’s a leadership opportunity to inspire and guide the creative journey of each production. You’ll collaborate with a passionate team, source and craft compelling costume and makeup elements, oversee fittings and alterations, and mentor both paid and volunteer student designers and crews.
As a vital member of the College of Humanities and Fine Arts’ production team, the Coordinator supports the artistic and educational missions of the department and the School of the Arts. At Chico State, student growth is central to our work. Here, productions are immersive learning experiences. The studio is a student-centered environment where education and production intersect. You’ll work closely with faculty and staff to ensure every stitch, shade, and silhouette tells a story and enriches students’ academic and artistic development.
